Participants must be entering grades 8 to 9.
We're so excited to invite you, and anyone you know who might be interested, to join us for a fun week this summer to learn to row! Warhawk Crew Camp is designed for those with little to no rowing experience - that's right, NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED, to come learn what we're all about. The camp is intended for Madison rising 9th graders, but rising 8th graders in the Madison pyramid are also welcome. You'll get instruction from our amazing coaches, and will get to know current MadCrew athletes.
Camp will run Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28 from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm each day. Camp will be at Madison on Monday as we learn about rowing technique on the ergs (rowing machines), and then Tuesday - Friday, campers will ride the bus down to our boathouse on the Occoquan to get out on the water! The cost is $250 per camper, which will include professional instruction and transportation.
No special equipment is needed. Just bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a packed lunch for each day. Snacks and water refills will be available. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
